Who Am I?

Greetings  I am Jalen Ryant, born and raised in Charlotte North Carolina. I am a musician at heart. I've been playing the drums since the age of 3 and I absolutely love it. Other than the fact that I am a 20 year old Junior at South Carolina State University and a member of the marching 101, I am an overall down to earth person who's easy to get to know. I aspire to become a professional drummer, author and innovator. Most musicians only bring their physical skills to the table. God has given me the gift of wisdom and my duty as a musician is to inspire younger musicians with knowledge of becoming better not just skillfully, but better as an overall person both morally and spiritually. During the spring of 2015, I asked God to give me a brand or symbol that I could use to help establish my vision for advancing the Kingdom of God through music and penmanship. So in the Summer of 2015, God gave me the acronym of C.H.O.P.S. This stands for Character, Humility, Optimism, Perseverance, and ultimately Salvation. As soon as I got it, I ran with it. On the midnight of Christmas day 2015, God gave me yet another vision to become an author, using C.H.O.P.S. as a start for my writing career.
